Summer Sun

We have greatly been enjoying the nice weather around here. Princess C and Prince S would much prefer to be outdoors than any other place in the whole world. I don't have much to say but I thought I would post some pics from our outdoor adventures!

Sir S is not a big fan of the pool; he is only lukewarm about the water table as it is...

However, he loves sand, so I am hoping he will love to dig at the beach!

This shovel will be traveling all the way to Florida with us.

Caitlin loves the water as long as it is warm; the skinny mini gets cold easily!

All about the attitude...

Running in water.

Swimsuits? Who needs swimsuits?

Sprinkler balls don't go in the pool, but Princess C really could care less.

Super Boy!

Precious Girl!

Prince M got me a very fancy SLR camera for an early anniversary, so I am enjoying showing off the awesome pics! We head to the beach and to Disney World. I will try to update as much as I can, so keep checking back. I will figure this blogging thing out eventually!

A Boy and his Cake...

Sir S recently celebrated his first birthday and for him it was just another day until we had his birthday party........ First, he got to open presents.
To Sir S, this meant playing with tissue paper; had all of his gifts been bags of tissue paper, he would of been one happy camper. However, Princess C would have been a different story. She knew it wasn't her birthday, but she also figured out that whatever toys Sam got, she would get to play with them as well.

Gift bags and tissue were all good and fun for Sir S, but none of that could compare to the joy of birthday cake....

I figured that Sir S would really enjoy his cake, after all, he is his my son, thus I stripped him down to his shorts before I put him in his high chair.
I lit the candle on his cake and King M set it in front of him. He immediately tried to dive right in. King M picked it up and had to hold it out in front of him so that everyone could sing happy birthday and Princess C could blow out the candle (something she had been practicing all day). When King M placed the cake in front him, he put both hands on each side of the cake and stuck his face right in it. It was the funniest thing I have ever seen.
I have been to several first birthday parties and most kids are not that bold. Some pick at it for a while and debate if it is worth getting their hands dirty while others play with the cake for ten minutes before tasting it. There are even some alien children who don't like the sugar (these children are odd and we don't play with them :).However, not my son. He dove right in.
I know you are probably looking at these pictures thinking, "Well, that woman obviously starved her child for a week!" I can promise that he had eaten all day long and for dinner he quite enjoyed his Mexican Fiesta.
He just really, really likes cake (once again, he is his mother's son.)
He devoured the entire top layer and a good chunk of the second.

When I finally cut Sir S off, he had cake in his ears, up his nose, and in his hair.
King M and I were laughing so hard we had a hard time enjoying our own cake.
Princess C did not find Sir S's style of eating a cake to be appropriate and she demanded a fork when she finally got her piece. When Princess C turned one, I killed my self trying to find the perfect cake with matching little cake. I learned my lesson; this time I got the big cake that I would want, chocolate death.

It was complete with chocolate cake, chocolate mousse in the middle and obviously chocolate icing. The cake was soo yummy and everyone knows that calories do not count on your child's birthday. Sir S's birthday is actually the 5th, but we celebrated it on the 9th, which is also my dad's birthday. Poor dad, last year on his birthday, we brought Sir S home from the hospital, so he has been overshadowed. I fear that I did not do enough to recognize him this year or last because he certainly deserves it, though he would never admit it in 100 years.

Overall, Sir S's birthday was a success, but it was rough for me. He is no longer my baby....
He started walking last week and he is now a climber, so my hands are full. However, this birthday made both King M and I realize that the Kapering Krugers are not complete, yet.

Well, this is my first ever blog post. I have finally decided to jump on the bandwagon. As of today, this site is dedicated to my "Kapering Krugers" or better known as my family. However, it will not be all about the antics of my children; I will probably throw in some others things to, such as being a woman, a mom, a friend, a wife, a daughter, a Christian, an avid reader, a way more avid tv watcher, and my most recent obsession, Edward. For those who are not familiar with Edward, I am not speaking of my husband, but of a vampire, a fictional one at that. I won't go into my feelings about him just yet; definitely on another day....

For now, here is my family.

Princess C is my almost 3 year old daughter. She is a bouncing bundle of joy and fun. Her personality has really developed into such a fun and loving spirit. She enjoys anything that involves a Princess (hence the nickname) and has also developed a love of painting. Most of the time, Princess C is a happy, laughing, and always talking. However, when she is painting, she is very quiet and very serious; it is really a joy to watch her make her creations.

Sir S is my son who just recently turned one! He has brought more joy than I could of ever dreamed about. He constantly amazes me with how quickly he picks up on things and everyday is a new adventure in his world. It is so funny to watch him chase his sister; he so desperately wants to be in her world, but she so desperately doesn't want him to be... He is figuring out how to walk and I imagine that he will figure out how to run pretty darn quickly and then it will all be over for me....

King M is my husband, the provider, protector, and God's greatest gift to me, for without him, my family would not exist. I love him so passionately and I thank God everyday for sending him to me. King M is a software engineer and he should really be the one to be doing this blog because I don't know a darn thing about web design and he is so creative with those sorts of things. He works very hard so that I can stay home, but he also takes plays hard to. When he comes home, I know that his mind and his heart are always 100% with us and he always puts his role of "Daddy" ahead of everything else. Sir S and Princess C adore him; there are no words to describe the relationship that they all have, except to say that it is a scene I simply love to watch.

I would not even presume to call myself "Queen" because it is a ridiculous idea. I can't think of a title, so I will simply be S. However, I go by so many things, but the most important of these is "mom."
